What is Silent City Sounds?

Silent City Sounds is a new silent disco company that has been hosting parties and events all around Charleston. During a silent disco, music is transmitted wirelessly to special LED, three channel headphones. Because each DJ or music act can play simultaneously, each guest has the option to chose which channel, song or DJ they want to hear. Silent City Sounds was born when we discovered a need for a new way to keep the party going and enjoy the music even with a noise ordinance or other barrier preventing traditional music delivery. Without the headphones the party is silent but with the headphones the party is strong.

Silent City Sounds, a division of Holy City Events, can be booked for any event. We are available for weddings, house parties, birthdays or festivals. The best part is: a silent disco doesn’t create extra noise.  Offering a silent disco will bring a unique musical element to any event. Since our inception in 2012, we have hosted over a dozen silent discos around the Lowcountry from Folly Beach to Isle of Palms. In May, we began partying with a silent disco every Friday at King Dusko (541 King St) in the largest open air courtyard in downtown Charleston. Because of the new noise ordinance, they have been a huge success. We’ve hit capacity every week!!
